A light at the end? Or just more fluff optimism that gets spouted every quarter...

Hiring may begin to pick up soon, data suggest
Jobless claims tumbled to a nearly three-year low last week and signs grew that companies have squeezed every drop of toil out of their workers, offering hope that the pace of hiring will soon improve.

Working from home...

Theres definitely something to be said for rolling out of bed and being at work...but this stuff also gets boring!

The reason I'm here...

Im here to post a journal of my current job search, as well as to connect with others who are in the same frustrating rut that about 10% of our country is in.

Its complete and utter crap.  I am getting rejected from Entry Level positions that require nothing more than a high school diploma.  I understand that there are other highly qualified people applying for these positions, but here is what pisses me off.  The form rejection letters and emails that come telling me that I do not meet their minimum qualifications...what?  Did you even read my resume?

Anyhow, here I am, working on trying to improve my life.  I currently do a bit of work from home, but am trying daily to get into a more solid career since getting laid off in October.  Who else is out there?

Welcome to me...

Starting this whole blog thing...not sure how its gonna go.
